Provenance and rights

Source, collection, accession and rights context shown close to the material it describes.

Personal state

Favorites, reading history and notes stored on the user's device.

Discovery layer

Local search and multilingual metadata used to find records and sources.

Relationship principle

An archive record is useful only when its relationships remain visible. Names, images, editions, locators, collections and rights records should point back to their evidence instead of being flattened into unsupported facts.
